Welcome Rising 9th Graders!

Below is the starting point on your Dual Enrollment Journey!

What is Dual Enrollment?

Cypress College partners with nearby school districts to offer high school students the opportunity to earn college credit while attending high school. Students enrolled in FREE dual enrollment courses earn credit for college classes that may be eligible to transfer to a CSU or UC institution.

  • Earn BOTH high school & college credit at the same time.
  • Smoother transition into higher education & reduced time to college graduation.
  • Classes may be transferable to UCs/CSUs, community colleges, and other schools.
  • FREE! No tuition fees and zero cost for class materials.

All classes have limitations on seat capacity. The courses are offered on a first-come-first-serve basis until all seats are filled. To avoid any delays in your application process, please make sure to review the steps below.

Get Started Today!

All Dual Enrollment Applications will be done virtually. To get a jumpstart, follow the steps below

Step 1

Complete a "General Application" by clicking below. Skip this step if you are currently taking a Dual Enrollment class or have not skipped a semester since your last Dual Enrollment course.

Step 2

Please note: You cannot complete STEP 2 until you have submitted the online application in STEP 1 and received a college ID (which may take 5-7 business days).

Rising 9th grade students must submit the Dual Enrollment Special Admit form and select the counseling class they are interested in taking. The form will require multiple signature approvals before Admission and Records manually registers students into the course based on course availability. Students will receive a confirmation status from the Dual Enrollment office.

Step 3

Once students submit the Dual Enrollment Special Admit form, parents/guardians listed on the form will receive an email to create an account and sign their portion of the form. For assistance, please utilize the 'Parent Instructions' video.
